How the Hyperbaric Chamber is helping my Brain.

How I am healing my brain by using my hyperbaric chamber.

Hyperbaric chambers are used to treat a variety of conditions by delivering oxygen at a greater than normal atmospheric pressure. They are also used to accelerate healing of any injury, including stubborn wounds, broken bones, smokey lungs, and not the least of which are injuries to the brain. The greater concentration of oxygen helps the body to heal itself, whatever the injury may be.

In my early childhood, I suffered a few serious bumps to my head, each which resulted in a concussion. I never realized that these injuries could affect my adult life. According to Dr. Daniel Amen, who wrote “Change Your Brain, Change Your Life,” these injuries affect the pre-frontal cortex of the brain. The prefrontal cortex deals with focus, forethought, judgment, impulse control, organization, planning, learning from experience, emotions, and empathy, according to Dr. Amen. All my life I’ve had problems with judgment and organization and impulse control. I also tend to make the same mistakes over and over again. Plus my attention span is not that great. Add to that, I don’t remember most of my childhood, or where I left my cell phone, etc. And planning… forget it.

I purchased my own personal hyperbaric chamber from antiagingbed.com at the end of August of 2022. By September, I had it up and running. The one I purchased is designed to hold one person, and it cost me 15K. This item is no longer on the website because it’s being liquidated, but there are a few left. The chamber on the website now is larger, and more rigid, and can accept two people, and it goes for 20K. That’s a lot of money, right? But people regularly buy automobiles for the same price or more. To me, my health is the most valuable asset I have. Without it, I might be heading for the nursing home. I am 70 years old.

The very first time I took an air bath in the pressurized oxygen, I was amazed at how good I felt when I came out! I could breathe deeper and my need to smoke cigarettes diminished greatly. And from that day on, I have entered the chamber almost daily for an hour and a half. Now, my face looks younger, and I feel more alive, and most of all I am having a much easier time remembering little things like where I laid my car keys. My friend Emily made the remark, “wow you remembered that! What are you doing?” I had to answer, its the chamber! She and I had a spat, like we girls do, and hadn’t talked in more than a year. She says that today I am much more “present.”

My friend Tricia is using the chamber too, and in exchange she gives me a massage. She had a bicycle accident and hurt her arm, and had a fracture that was taking it’s good sweet time healing. Now she says the pain is all gone. She’s been using the chamber about twice a week since back in September,of 2022. I have been using it alnost daily since September.

I must note here that you do NOT need an oxygen tank to run this awesome gadget. I can’t explain the science of it, but it comes with two machines that make a low humm and the larger one somehow gets the oxygen from the air and concentrates it. At first it feels similar to when you’re on an airplane and your ears pop because of the pressure.

NOTE:  The chamber in the above link is a larger one than mine (in the pictures.) "Mine" is still available in limited quantities, although it doesn't show up on the website.  The larger one can accommodate 2 people.
